Panaji March 24 (IANS) Goa will strive to become India s first beggar-free state Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar said in his budget speech on Friday.
We will conceive a full fledged rehabilitation centre for beggars and a rehabilitation centre for destitutes Parrikar told the Goa legislative assembly.
Parrikar also said that for a state with a high per capita income Goa was seeing a rapid increase in the number of beggars.
