New Delhi, Aug 2 (IANS) Following the recent reduction in GST rates of all electric-powered vehicles, automobile major Hyundai Motor India has slashed the price of Kona Electric.

Recently, the GST Council slashed rates on all electric-powered vehicles from 12 to 5 per cent.

The Fully Electric SUV, which was earlier priced at Rs 25.30 lakh, will now cost Rs 23.71 lakh.

Currently, Kona Electric is available in 15 dealerships across 11 cities.

On Thursday, automobile major Tata Motors had reduced prices of its electric vehicle (EV) -- Tigor EV -- by up to Rs 80,000 on the back of the GST rate cut.
