Chandigarh Nov 21 (IANS) The Haryana government on Tuesday announced an over two-fold increase in financial assistance given to World War II veterans and their widows.
The decision will benefit 4 060 beneficiaries Finance Minister Abhimanyu said.
"The financial assistance of Rs 4 500 has been increased to Rs 10 000 per month. The financial implication on account of the enhanced financial assistance is estimated at over Rs 26.79 crore " the Minister said.
