Bhopal: Immense enthusiasm is being witnessed among the students to take part in interesting and enlightening school quiz focusing Madhya Pradesh Tourism. Over 12 thousand students have registered themselves for participation in the quiz till date. Last date for registration has been fixed as July 29 till 5.00 p.m. This quiz will be held together in all the districts of the state on August 19. State level quiz competition will be held on September 27 at Bhopal on the occasion of World Tourism Day.#####

It may be mentioned that free coupons will be distributed to the successful students of the quiz being organized by the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board for tour of tourism places of Madhya Pradesh. Beside tour, the students will share their views and experience focusing these tourist places in the form of a tour diary. The selected experiences collected at the state level will also be complied and published. Secretary Tourism and Managing Director of Tourism Board Hari Ranjan Rao has told the officials for completing all the quiz arrangements within prescribed time limit in a meeting held here today. It was informed in the meeting that necessary training will be imparted on August 10 at Bhopal to quiz masters who are to be posted in all the districts. Citation letter will be presented by the Madhya Pradesh Tourism to staff of education department towards cooperation. Additional Managing Director Tourism Board Dr. Shrikant pandey, Ravikant Thakur of education department, Upendra Yadav, General Manager Yuvraj Padole and in-charge of Tourism Quiz Parmesh Jalote beside concerned officers were present in the meeting.

Quiz Competition is being organized mainly with an objective to enhance students’ interest through generating awareness among them about tourism places, to develop curiosity and to apprise them with the heritages of historical importance.

Students of class 9 to 12 of government and private schools will take part at district level in the competition. A single team comprising 3 members of each school will take part in the competition. Selected six best teams of the quiz will participate in multimedia quiz competition to select winner and runner up team.-WTN
