J&K Police says Hizbul threat posters irrelevant

10 Nov 2017

Srinagar Nov 10 (IANS) Jammu and Kashmir Police on Friday said threat posters by the Hizbul Mujahideen outfit asking parents to keep youths away from functions of the army and other security forces were "irrelevant".

Threat posters by Hizbul Mujahideen were seen pasted at many places on Friday in south Kashmir Tral town that asked parents not to send their boys and girls to sports cultural and other programmes sponsored by the army police and other security forces.

State Director General of Police (DGP) S.P. Vaid said in summer capital Srinagar: "This is not the first time that such threat posters have appeared. These are irrelevant and have no impact."
