Sriperumbudur (Tamil Nadu) July 23 (IANS) Veteran Pratap Jayaram from Bengaluru emerged as the fastest in the first round of the 2017 Indian National Drag Racing Championship for four-wheelers at the MMRT track here on Sunday.
Jayaram participating in the top-end Unrestricted class in a fully modified Reva car clocked 13.102 seconds for the quarter-mile drag which also won him the fastest driver award. Finishing second behind Jayaram was Joel Joseph also from Bengaluru with Pune s Rayomand Banajee completing the podium.
Another veteran Radha Selvaraj topped the Indian Open class ahead of Varun Gowda and Vivek Ramachander.
