BBC has entered into a joint venture with Multi Screen Media to launch the channel in India, branded as Sony BBC Earth. A launch date is yet to be determined, following regulatory approval of the joint venture. BBC Earth is a documentary subscription television channel featuring premium factual programming. The channel is completely owned and operated by BBC Worldwide-WTN
