Mumbai Aug 22 (IANS) Key Indian equity indices on Tuesday closed the day s trading marginally higher.
The 30-scrip Sensitive Index (Sensex) closed 33 points or 0.11 per cent higher.
The wider 51-scrip Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) also closed trading 11.20 points or 0.11 per cent higher at 9 765.55 points.
The Sensex of the BSE which opened at 31 393.93 points closed at 31 291.85 points (at 3.46 p.m.) provisionally higher 33 points or 0.11 per cent from the previous day s close at 31 258.85 points.
The Sensex touched a high of 31 484.28 points and a low of 31 241.50 points in the trade so far.
