Kolkata Aug 24 (IANS) West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Thursday welcomed the Supreme Court s ruling that the right to privacy is a fundamental right.
"We welcome this verdict " Banerjee tweeted.
In a landmark judgement a nine-judge Constitution bench unanimously held that right to privacy is a fundamental right guaranteed under Article 21 of the Constitution.
