New Delhi Aug 19 (IANS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday condoled the death of people caused by the derailment of Utkal Express in Uttar Pradesh s Muzaffarnagar district.
"Extremely pained by the derailment of the Utkal Express in Muzaffarnagar. My thoughts are with the families of the deceased " he said in a tweet.
He wished the injured a speedy recovery and said that the entire situation is being monitored by the Railway Ministry.
"Railways Ministry and UP Government are doing everything possible & providing all assistance required in the wake of the train derailment " said Modi in another tweet.
At least 13 people killed and 58 were injured after six coaches of the Utkal Express derailed near Khatauli in Muzzafarnagar at 5.46 p.m.
