Islamabad Aug 22 (IANS) Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif s wife Kulsoom Nawaz was diagnosed with throat cancer on Tuesday the media reported.
Kulsoom who left for London at a time when nomination papers for a Lahore seat were being scrutinised came back after three medical check-ups.
According to British doctors her cancer can be treated Geo News reported.
Kulsoom got her nomination papers after the Lahore seat fell vacant post Sharif s disqualification by the Supreme Court on July 28. The by-election is scheduled on September 18.
