New Delhi Aug 18 (IANS) The Prime Minister s Office (PMO) said on Friday that "there is no place for corruption and middlemen" in the country.
It said the National Democratic Alliance government s priority was to create a corruption-free India and it had taken several initiatives for "uprooting corruption from the system".
"There is no place for corruption and middlemen. The NDA government s priority is a corruption free India. It is uprooting corruption from the system " the PMO tweeted.
The tweet posted with some news clippings came a day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed entrepreneurs here and expressed regret over corruption and said that the government cannot stop graft without setting up "counter-institutional arrangements".
Modi also said that the government was trying to create institutional arrangements so that if people falter the system would take care of the situation.
