Out of 3 winners, Donna becomes third woman to receive the Nobel Prize in Physics, joining Maria Goeppert-Mayer in1963 and Marie Curie in 1903
The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences has decided to award the Nobel Prize in Physics 2018 for groundbreaking inventions in the field of laser physics with Arthur Ashkin of the United States was awarded half the 9-million-kronor ($1.01 million) prize, the other half is shared by Gerard Mourou of France and Canadian Donna Strickland.
