Berlin July 29 (IANS) A 50-year-old person was killed and six others injured in a knife attack in a supermarket in German city of Hamburg on Friday police said.
According to the police the suspect was detained and "his motive remains unclear" Xinhua news agency reported.
The attacker is a 26-year-old man who was born in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). His nationality is still being clarified police said in a statement.
The suspect entered the supermarket and suddenly began stabbing customers before running off.
