Chandigarh, April 14 (IANS) The first two Covid-19 patients were cured and discharged from the Post-Graduate Institute of Medical Education & Research (PGI), here on Tuesday.While 31-year-old PGI healthcare worker had been hospitalised on March 30, another person cured was 42-year-old woman resident of the city.She had been referred by the Government Medical College and Hospital in Sector 32 to the PGI with coronavirus infection on April 3.Both were given a warm send off by healthcare professionals, led by PGI Director Jagat Ram.Chandigarh Adviser Manoj Parida said two more Covid-19 patients recovered and were discharged, thus reducing the number of active cases in the city to 12. --IANS vg/pcj
