People's University's philanthropic work is spearheaded by Dr Megha Vijaywargia. As a philanthropist, she believes that one person can change the life of another by performing a simple act of charity or kindness. People's University has adopted five villages to educate the children. The goal of this adoption is to provide residents with better health and education services. The villages are Harrakheda, Arwalia, Parwalia Sani, Hinoti Sadak, and Bhainskheda. These villages are low in literacy and are in want of proper healthcare facilities.

The team of University is conducting health awareness camps , health surveys , adult education and other activities. The university has installed solar lights in public places in all these villages to propagate and make the citizens aware about  renewable energy  sources.

This initiative bolsters the Government of India’s 'Unnat Bharat Abhiyan' campaign. Unnat Bharat Abhiyan is inspired by the vision of transformational change in rural development.

When asked, the Pro-Chancellor of People's University, Dr Vijaywargia said, "People's University is dedicated to providing good quality higher education to the society. We also try to help the community by organising health checkups and awareness events. " She went on to say that the team efforts of all the students/ Doctors/ Nurses/ Paramedics and teachers who conducted door to door household survey to determine the health and lifestyle parametes

had called up all of the university's officers and faculty to make the 'Unnat Bharat Abhiyan' initiative a success. She also asked them to assist the females and children of those villages in becoming self-sufficient and settled.
