Pierce Brosnan James Bond 007, Asked to Explain his Gadget Pan Bahar Tin-Pack !!

James Bond is again under explanation, but this time the 007 is not answerable to M. However the authorities in the Indian Capital, "Delhi" has asked for the clarification. James Bond 007, Pierce Brosnan is questioned why he was in an advert for a local mouth freshener associated with an addictive form of chewing tobacco?.

The authorities have given 10days tenner to the actor Pierce Brosnan to submit his explanation and if he fails to do so, the actor will be charged with fine of Rs 5,000 ($78; £56) or go to jail for two years, reports BBC.

The company “Pan Bahar's ”, the pan masala add that featured  Brosnan as their brand ambassador in the year 2016 is under scrutiny. The brand has the history of hiring Bollywood stars and previous endorsers were, such as father-son duo, Feroz Khan - Fardeen Khan and more recently Saif Ali Khan were featured. 

The former Bond refrained and called the use of his image in the advert "Unauthorised". In the year 2016 when the advert surfaced the actor stated then, the use of his image was "unauthorised", the contract was to advertise a single product - a "breath freshener/tooth whitener" that contained no " tobacco" or any "harmful ingredient."


From the file records the news, agaency reports that the Ashok & Co, the company that produces Pan Bahar, told them year  2016 that there was no tobacco or nicotine in the product for which the former Bond  Pierce Brosnan was featured.

Pan masala and gutka both are linked to Cancer. Many states in India had band the selling of these products, The Government of India is running various awareness campaigns to discourage people from buying Pan masala and gutka. - Window To News
