Bhopal: Minister for Revenue, Science and Technology Umashankar Gupta honoured meritorious students of ward 47 presenting them medals and certificates. He honoured meritorious students of class 8th, 10th and 12th. Gupta also honoured the directors of various educational institutions on the occasion.

Gupta said that no meritorious student will be deprived of higher education. College fee of students securing over 75 percent marks in 12th examination of Board of Secondary Education and over 85 percent marks in CBSE 12th examination will be borne by the government under the Mukhya Mantri Medhavi Vidhyarthi Yojana. He told students to study hard to avail benefit of this scheme.

Moreover, Gupta informed about various schemes being conducted by the government for women and girls. He said that the government is making constant efforts for the welfare of poor. Public Representatives were present on the occasion.-WTN
