Kolkata Sep 11 (IANS) Passengers at the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport here fortuitously escaped serious injury as a glass panel fell down on Monday morning officials said.
"The incident happened near 3A-3B terminal around 11:30 a.m. No one was seriously injured " Kolkata Airport Director Atul Dikshit said.
"We are working towards repairing the glass of the area and taking precautionary measure so that these things don t happen in future."
"These things happen due to temperature difference at times " he added.
This is not the first instance of a glass panel breaking at the NSCBI airport. Last year a private airline s ground staff was injured in a similar incident.
