Berlin July 11 (IANS) German football club FC Schalke 04 have signed attacking midfielder Amine Harit from French outfit Nantes.
The club announced the signing in a statement released on Monday. After a lot of back and forth the Bundesliga club were able to complete the transfer of Amine Harit who has penned a four-year deal until June 2021. Both clubs agreed to keep silence over further contract details reports Xinhua news agency.
"Amine is technically gifted player who is a fast dribbler and can also help out in the defence. He can make the difference. We are glad that we were able to sign him " Schalke head coach Domenico Tedesco said.
Schalke s new arrival started his senior career at Nantes where he provided one goal in 30 appearances for the first team in August 2016. Harit is also part of France s Under-20 squad and scored one goal in nine caps.
"This transfer is a big step in my career. I am sure that at such a big club I can develop into the player I want to be " Harit who received jersey number 25 said.
Schalke encounter runner-up Leipzig for their season opener on August 19.
