Chhattarpur (Madhya Pradesh) Sep 18 (IANS) Four sacks filled with pieces of scrapped currency notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1 000 were found in a garbage dump in this Madhya Pradesh district police said on Monday.
Informed of the bundles of notes lying in the dump near National Highway-75 police reached the spot and seized the sacks Inspector K.K. Khanuja told reporters. Investigations have been launched he addded.
After the Central government demonestised Rs 500 and Rs 1 000 notes on November 8 several bundles of scrapped notes were found at various places in the state.
