Gautam Buddh Nagar, April 28 (IANS) Two senior officials conducted a surprise check of two quarantine centres set up in Sector 39 of Gautam Buddh Nagar, an official said on Tuesday.

IAS officer Narendra Bhooshan, Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) CEO and the district's Nodal Officer, and Commissioner of Police Alok Singh inspected the quarantine centre set up in the new building of the district hospital as well as the one at Galgotia College on Monday night.

The team looked into the security, sanitation and availability of food etc at the
quarantine centres and also talked to those quarantined at the centres. The senior officials directed the staff concerned to redress the grievances of the quarantined people.

The quarantine centres were asked to ensure CCTVs on the premises, as well as the availability of personal protection equipment, face masks etc.

The Nodal Officer also visited the coronavirus hotspot Salarpur village and talked to area residents to know about their problems. The officials concerned were asked to ensure availability of rations, milk, fruits and vegetables and other essentials to the public.

The senior officials assured the people that all essentials would be supplied to them, appealing to them to remain indoors and strictly follow the lockdown due to coronavirus scare.
