Ghaziabad April 7 (IANS) Seven robbers planning to commit a robbery on Friday midnight were arrested here and two stolen vehicles and some weapons seized from them police said in Saturday.
Addressing a press conference Ghaziabad Senior Superintendent of Police Vaibhav Krishna said that at Friday midnight a team of Sahibabad police nabbed seven robbers from near Koyal Enclave on the tip of an informer.
During sustained interrogation they revealed that they robbed a Qualis and a Balero Jeep from a person in Uttar Pradesh s Shahjahanpur earlier this month. The gang headed by Guddu Yadav a resident of Bareilly also comprised Budhpal Manoj Akhilesh Sanjiv Amit and Jayant all residents of Shahjahanpur.
Police recovered two pistols three home-made pistols of .32 and .315 bore two knives and huge stock of live cartridges along with the two vehicles from them.
