Colombo Oct 4 (IANS) Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena will undertake his first state visit to Seychelles next week to strengthen diplomatic and tourism ties between the two countries it was announced here on Thursday.
The three-day visit will begin on October 8 and conclude on October 10 according to Sri Lanka s Foreign Ministry.
During his visit Sirisena will hold talks with his Seychelles counterpart Danny Faure.
The talks will focus on health education tourism environment fisheries maritime security and the Indian Ocean Commission.
Sri Lanka and Seychelles established diplomatic relations in 1988.
