Acting upon an intelligence report the government forces fighting aircrafts hit a meeting of Taliban insurgents in Piruzi village in the morning resulting in the deaths of 10 militants including Hemmatullah a police official was cited as saying by Xinhua news agency.
Hemmatullah according to the official was a notorious commander and his elimination could prove to be a major setback to the Taliban militants in Zabul and the neighbouring Kandahar and Helmand provinces.
