New Delhi March 7 (IANS) To celebrate International Women s Day Twitter is enabling users across India to spotlight the women who inspire them with the hashtags #SheInspiresMe or #SheLeadsIndia which will trigger a #WomensDay emoji it said on Tuesday.
The emoji would be the gender symbol for females and a representation of feminism and will be available till April 1 the microblogging site said in a tweet.
From today for the rest of the month Tweet with the hashtags below to see the #InternationalWomensDay emoji appear! read the tweet.
Twitter has also partnered with digital video storytelling platform @SheThePeopleTV to host a special #BlueRoom session to talk about the issues women in media and technology face.
The day (Women s Day) is an opportunity to spark interest and discussion in the issues affecting women today and we hope to draw positive attention to it with our #BlueRoom sessions and a little fun with the emoji said Keya Madhvani Head - Lifestyle and Creator Partnerships at Twitter India in a statement.
The session will comprise of two panel discussions with leading women in technology franchisees as well as a performance by female comedians.
The session would be live on March 8 at 5:30 p.m. from both @TwitterIndia and @SheThePeopleTV handles the statement added.
