Jaipur Sep 19 (IANS) The director and a teacher of a school in Sikar in Rajasthan who raped a Class 12 student and then forced her to abort have been detained police said on Tuesday.
"We have rounded up two persons and are interrogating them " Sikar Superintendent of Police Vinit Kumar told IANS on phone.
"We are trying to find out the course of events. Based on that we will take a call on arresting them " he added.
The teenager was raped for two months. Kumar said the girl s statement will be recorded after her health improves.
According to reports the student is undergoing treatment at a Jaipur hospital.
It is alleged that the school director and teacher raped her on the pretext of taking extra classes. When she became pregnant she was taken to a hospital where her abortion was carried out clandestinely.
After her health deteriorated she was shifted by her family to a Jaipur hospital.
